Vent help needed!

Dang... I get one thing sorted out, and theres another... Just how it goes, 'new car blues" I 'spect.

I have a new issue, I hope someone can help with. My vents have stopped "blowing". My AC, Heater, Vent, etc., works fine, (get cold, hot, etc.). And the fan is good to go. But it does not blow out the vents... No matter what "route" I choose, all air comes out the defroster, and\or at my feet (burrrrr...). Im not sure whats goin on, since the controls are buttons... are solenoids moving doors, etc., around in there to change the air flow?

Anyone had this issue before?? Any ideas? Help!

BTW... just as an aside... I made the "resistor mod", it was so simple, I just decided what the heck. If this is "safe" Im IN! I cant see any reason to go back, this is ALOT MORE LIKE IT! Thanks to all for the info\instructions, etc.

Thanks,
Sonny

Vent issues

The problem is relatively common and is caused by a weak or dead mode motor (a small motor which directs the air flow to the correct location) This motor is located on the plenum box under the dash. You may be able to lubricate the mechanism or you may have to replace the motor.

There should be a diagram on oone of the parts sites whihc will show you what motor I'm speaking of.

Good Luck
