update on frt. end "rumble"
I feared the worst (tranny) with this developing vibration/rumble with my 96.Local shop correctly diagnosed problem as bad u-joints(both).they changed the driveshaft and no more bad voodoo!Much cheaper than tranny!They also replaced all 4 rotors and pads.I'm on the road again !

Do you have the stock suspension, or did you change it to something else. What did it sound like? Thanks

I do have the stock suspension, no alterations.The "problem" was barely noticeable at first,slight vibration.It gradually progressed over 3-4 K to a definate vibration/rumble from what seemed to me the front drivetrain.I only felt it from 0 to 10 mph.It seemed worse when turning the wheel either way.At the end I could also feel it slightly as the tranny shifted into higher gears.my ride has only 43K. I was able to check out the old shaft and could definately feel resistance in both u-joints when moved in a certain direction.Hope this helps.
