Polish bushing kit
Hello I just got the full strong-flex bushing kit from Poland. I have a few questions about how to put in the front six pcs. The sway bar bushings are solid round pcs. unlike the rubber stock ones that have a cutout and slip over the sway bar. I assume I will have to remove the sway bar to slide these in place. Is this simple to do and do I need any special tools. Does it throw off the alignment? Also do I need any special tools to put in the 4pcs. for the control arm wishbone ones. Any knowledge on this appreciated in advance. Thanks.
Mike

Re: Polish bushing kit
I bought a set & will leave it to my Subaru Tech. He has the special tools to remove the Factory Rubber units. To me it is Money Well spent with no stress & High Blood Pressure Pills!! There are several posts with pictures of people trying to burn, melt, press and hammer the hell out of them!! For me life is too short to lose sleep on this project, just my feelings. I would rather be sailing and/or fishing waiting for the phone call from Subaru to pick up my car!!

Re: Polish bushing kit
my kit had the slits in the bushings to put them on, you might want to create your own slit because sliding it from the end would be much more difficult.

Re: Polish bushing kit
Thanks for the replies. I dropped it off at a shop today to have all 20pcs put in. Front and rear. Five hours labor. $564.00 total. I got the yellow sport ones. Would have been too difficult for me without a lift etc... Will post how it affects the ride soon. Thanks.

Re: Polish bushing kit
Let me know what your mechanic says about the lateral link bushings ...
I also just bought the full suspension kit (red) and the lateral link bushings were not all the right size (2 of the bushings are too big and 2 others had a crush tube that was too small for the bolts). So far lateral links is all I've tried to install. I don't need the sway bar bushings but mine are like yours, solid. I would just cut a slit into them to slide them on the sway bar but it doesn't matter considering the other things coming off. At that point, its just as easy to remove the sway bar and slide them on.
