can you rebuild struts?

so i read something about the bouncy test? if the car bounces when you push on it does that mean the struts are done? if so my car is able to bounce quite a bit. i was wondering if you can get struts rebuilt somewhere and if it is worth it? or is it more worth it to get new struts? (i would keep the stock setup either way) i notice alot of loose sound in the front end, everything is tight, but i think the struts arent doing their job and is making that noise. thanks for any help!

If you count being able to use the Koni inserts in our stock strut housing as "rebuildable", then I guess they are

And the Koni inserts are most definitely worth it.

my struts are shot, do the inserts replace them or what? and arent they expensive? i dont have alot of money and was just going to get the front done if they are rebuildable as my rears are still fairly good. i had a $100 parts car at my fingertips today, but it got away. i was going to swap struts if they were better than mine, but not anymore

i really would just like to get the stock ones rebuilt, but it doesnt sound like it is possible? i thought maybe it would be cheaper also.

My struts are shot too, so awhile back I asked and the link above is the answers I got. Check out that thread...it has lots of good info, including a link on how to do the konis. I myself am gonna go with the Konis and drop springs (yeah its a little more money, but definatley worth it). In fact, I need to get on it...but new job, doing my own driveway, too much xbox...
