It is not possible to make the svx a hatchback.

if your main concern is cleaning the window...invent a rag on a stick and call it a day

Can you please shorten the Door area as well as the left section of the rear quarter? I am interested in seeing it the way I described...

(SVX) + (blank check) + (say... Pininfarina) = SVX hatchback

It would take surgery of Frankenstein proportions, but I can't see why it couldn't be pulled off by some frame and body gods.

Joes like you and me? Forget it.

I sense a Photochop'd notchback... Give it flying buttresses like the later Fiero or 308!

There was a local guy around here (WA) that had planned to do it, but I haven't talked to him for a couple of years. I guess he was after better access to the back area for putting bigger things in? He had already expanded the trunk area by quite a bit by somehow lowering it down. The spare tire fit completely below where it does stock and in it's place was going to be computer equipment, subs, and amps, all still below the normal trunk floor. The exterior profile was going to remain the same, he was just going to create a hatchback out of the existing rear window and trunk lid. Doubt he ever figured out how though.

That was Jr.'s work. Sr. has been working with him, and he's getting better.
