Automatic transmissions in STI?

According to Subaru UK...
The STi has indeed just become available in the Japan home market with a Sportshift auto gearbox. That's because auto uptake is much much higher there than it is here. There aren't any plans to make this box available to export markets but what interests us, at Subaru UK, is that it's an auto box able to handle soooooo much torque.

Re: Automatic transmissions in STI?

weak sauce - EVO X gets a Twin Clutch SST paddle-shifted 6-speed tranny.

the 5EAT is nice, but Subaru is lagging behind.

wouldn't that be the Sportshift 5EAT? i already has one.

Subaru needs a 6-speed dual clutch DSG tranny.
