worked out a deal w/ my parents for it
it's going on their coverage for 2 months until i'm 21, and i can get the coverage as a 21 year old instead of being locked in as a 20 yr old until i'm almost 22, it's going on there, and i'm paying them they also said i shouldn't repaint the rest of the car, and if i'm gonna paint the hood and fenders to just paint the hood and fenders, and leave the rest of the car having 8 yr old paint... thoughts on the paint?

about the paint issue.... i think it goes along the same logic as the rest of the mods on the svx.... as much as it costs to get everything done right, its not going to increase much, the 'commercial value' of the car... true, the svx is special to us, but is it special to future buyers?
its sad, but cheaper cars (original msrp wise) like the mr2 is holding value better than svx.... unless you're willing to keep the svx for a long long time... and i'm not saying that you won't, but usually, its the more financial abled, established, perhaps older people who get to keep their car of choice where as younger people, especially students go through phases and once they get that first paycheck out of college, they look for a new car... (i'm anticipating flame from this post, i don't mean any harm, i realize that this post came out kinda weird, i'm having a hard time trying to type down what i meant.... i apologize in advance)

If you're in the military...
A sugestion to anyone in the military... I pay $379 a year for my SVX. If you are in right now.. try USAA. They have the LOWEST rates out there and I havent been able to find anyone that can beat them....but they only cater to people that are somehow affilitated with the armed services. I'm 32, but the rate was low even when I was younger!
