blizzard...

This is incredible....3' on the ground, and not about to let up. I don't have any idea when I'll be able to move. The nearest maintained road is about 75 yards away; but they haven't plowed all day. I can't get to it anyway.

I have beer, whiskey, and plenty of food. They warned us it was coming so I stocked up....

We really needed the moisture...

Kind of fun...like an adventure...as long as the electricity stays on. (Has gone off, but right back on, about 5 times...I'm not going to re-set these clocks again..)

Check with me in a couple of days to see if I'm still having fun...

I drove to work in my SVX today

It wasn't too bad this morning driving from Aurora to the tech center. I chained up the fronts to get home. The highways were hardpacked/pushed around and easy, but my short, suburbian street is uphill...

Neighbors pointed and laughed as I did my best road grading work ever. Yes, it was deep. Did you know the rev limiter kicks in at 6500? *laughs!* No, I didn't even try to get in my driveway. (my driveway is so steep that sometimes my tow hooks on the front hit the curb...the smallest amount of snow and I'm hard on the belly pan.) I went PAST my house, found a good spot to pack down the snow in the forward/backward Austin Powers inspired 16 point turn....
Zooming down the hill, I "WRX'd" the turn into the driveway with the chains-a-flyin' and got MOST of the car on the driveway. The snow up to the headlights+ the grade was too much. Shovel was already in the car...So I happily shoveled her out to get the low slung beastie into the garage and then went inside for soup an a beer.

I love this weather. (seriously...I'm not very good at sarcasm.)

can't get to work today.

The drift in my backyard is fence high this morning.

Here is where my SVX stopped last night getting home.

stuck in my driveway

Today the drift in the backyard is fence high. that is what... 6 feet? The drift in my backyard is within a foot of my garage roof.

And....It is still snowing....

See ya later, I'm going for a moring snowshoe trip!

you guys can keep that weather

i went for a ride with the b/f on his motorcycle on sunday...well, mind you this is the second time he ever had a passager...and the jerk hit 70mph...when he stopped the bike, i smacked him upside the head (with his helmet on) and screamed at him....so i rode home with his friend Vinnie...

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Hey SVXCAPE

Hey, SVXCAPE, I see you are in Winter Park. I visited my sister 2 months ago in Tabernash and I saw a teal SVX on the road. Was that you? How much snow does Winter Park have now?
