Bar-B-Q Festival Car Show

I had mentioned to some that I was going to enter the International Bar-B-Q Festival Car Show this year with "Patience," just for giggles. Some had expressed interest in joining me. Just in case, here's the info.

If, indeed, anyone wants to join me, you can print out the reg form and send it to me with your check and I'll try to get us parked together. The BIGGEST reason I want to be in the car show is to keep from having to park blocks and blocks away, which is what I usually have to do when I go to the Festival.

Randy

I am going to be in Louisville the from the 21st-23rd of March. I am attending a LAN Party (READ: Computer Gaming Geek Fest). Although my days will be full Friday night we are cooking out at a Buddies house. I wonder what the Chances of meeting up are. I wont have my SVX, but hey, its been a while.

I'd love to be there, but time and distance . . .

Randy, you haven't got a snowball's chance in hell if you don't give Patience a paintjob like the car on their website.

Be sure to post pictures!

Unfortunately, Friday night probably wouldn't be good, and I have a prior engagement on Sunday. Saturday would be the only chance, but, I'm guessing you'll be "Geekin'" all day.

Dang! I hate for you to be this close and not get together.

Like I said, I'm just looking for close parking. So it costs me 15 bucks for the day and I get to show off my car and have some fun in the process. Somebody show me a down side.

Randy,

I'm sorry we can't be there because the flame paint job for the nose of SVXY won't be ready by early May. I hope they deliver. If they do, I like to order 3 Buckets-O-Ribs.

You can order the flame magnets from JC Whitney and have 'em in three days, tops.

Oh, and there are no ribs. Just Chicken, Mutton and Burgoo!

And burgoo would be a uniquely Kentuckian delicacy? Made perhaps of those usually inedible portions of swine, or maybe squirrel?

I put my SVX in the Plainfeild car show because it cost $3 to walk in and $5 to show your car. I didn't really plan on showing it, it wasn't even clean, but I filled out the form, poped the hood and trunk and left it there. Surprise it was the only one there and got alot of lookers. Couldn't do the burn-out contest thoe.
