PS Belt Slipping on Cold Mornings..
So the title pretty much sums it up. My steering has never put a foot wrong since I replaced the o-ring and belt about a year ago. However since it's been getting cold I've noticed that the first time I start the car each day, the steering skips a bit as i'm backing her out of her parking spot.
Holding the revs at about 1.5-2k in neutral and cranking the wheel seems to eliminate the problem, so i'm assuming it's just a slightly slick belt on cold pullies, but is there something else? -Adam |

I had the same problem about 3 weeks ago (came right when the first cooler day did). Fixed with 2 turns of the tightener on the pulley.

Stupid question: What does the tightener on the pulley look like? I have the same problem, but I'm a moron when it comes to cars.

This:
http://www.ryanmacdonald.com/car/how...ey/pulley3.JPG Loosen off the idler pulley (the one that does nothing exept spin), then turn the main bolt that I currently have the rachet on in the picture. Just make sure you tighten your pulley back down once the belt is as tight as you want. - Ryan
