Is that why their displacement is rated in tons, rather than cubic inches or liters?

Well it's about damned time you've shown up on the scene. I was getting ready to call out the National Guard to see if you were breathin'. Don't stay away so long next time. You had me worried.

Seriously, I don't think I've heard of Osca...feel free to fill me in and direct me to a photo. Don
Osca made some pretty small sport racers in the fifties and sixties I think. It stands for Officine Specializzate Costruzione Automobili, but don't ask me to explain it, I can barely understand American.

The car is small, and really pretty. Subaru engine makes 187 bhp {NA}, and the kerb weight is 680 kgs, so it goes a bit. Also, and you will love this, it has a window in window design. I would not be at all surprised, with the Subie drivetrain, if it was using the rear window from the SVX, it is about the right size and shape.

Don't have any digital pics. Will check the Web and post any links I find. If none, I will get a friend to scan some magazine photos and post them.

Joe

Oooooo. I like the looks of that Delfino. 67,000 pounds, huh? Maybe I should invest.

Randy, how could you?? That car is about as suave as Judge Dredd's bike.

It also looks as if it has been visited by your friend in the SUV. I wouldn't give £6000 of my pounds for it, speed capability is no excuse for ugliness.

Joe

Low rider

The photos of the Dromos don't give the proper perspective, they are taken from a low angle, and make the car appear bigger than it is.

The roof height of this car is 44 inches, that is 7.5 inches lower than the SVX, which most of us would think of as low.

Osca no questions...

Oooooo! Me likes the Osca! I'd love to see the interior. That is one cute butt....reminds me a bit of a Marcos. Thanks for those pics Joe, one neat car.

...the first one though....like Ron says, looks a bit like someone glued together some spare parts. Don

What?!?!? I like Judge Dredd's bike. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I also like the Panoz. O'course, I've always said that my perfect idea of a car was a 427 Hemi strapped to a skateboard.

Right on, Don, I think this rear end is another uplifting experience.

You may be misreading Ron, though. When he says Miata out of RX7 out of Barracuda, he is referring to the size, the cabin profile, and the tail in that order, but of the OSCA. Am I right Ron?

Dug out another Web picture with the interior, but it is in Czech, mate. Here it is:

http://www.andrewv.fbi.cz/automoto/osca/

The car is featured in the June issue of EVO magazine, which may sell in the States, it is listed in dollars.

I can see the Marcos similarity. They make boats, right? I had a haunch you'd like the tail end.

Don't report the spelling to Eddycat.

Joe

AARGGHH! My bad, I was thinking Hemi, and thinking Cobra Jet. "A pox upon me for a clumsey lout."

Czech mate

That's a good one Joe!

Problem is, when I get to that website and click on Dromos 2500 GT, I keep getting the same page. Even did a search in "Czech", but the same results. No interior shot. Darn, sure is a sexy little number; 'course Aredub thinks a Marcos is a dictator from Manila but hey, he has more problems on his hands than that. I hear the Mopar Lovers of America have a contract out on him for his sacrilege

Imagine if they stuffed a WRX or STI engine into that little hummer....yeee haaaw! Don

Uplifting? Haunch? I love it!
