Significant Technical Input Registered SVX Classic SVX
The Ultimate Supercar

.

The Dagger GT

The technical specs are absolutely mind-boggling!! Here are some teaser performance specs:

300 mph top speed (with landspeed safety package)
270 mph standing mile (new record)
200 mph quarter mile (with drag package)
Quarter mile: Under 6.7 seconds
Zero-to-sixty mph: 1.2 seconds

No mention of fuel economy, although hybrid-electric and 600 hp all-electric engine options are available. (But they will pay the CAFÉ fine/penalty for each vehicle they produce.)

Re: The Ultimate Supercar

An amazing concept, but I'll believe it when I see it. 0-60 in 1.7s? It's RWD. There's simply no way a street car will be able to get the sort of traction needed for that acceleration. The Veyron does a 2.5s 0-60, and even with AWD is significantly traction limited.

Re: The Ultimate Supercar

Something about that website makes me think that it's a borderline scam to get investors on board for a concept that will never make it to production.

Or an April fool's joke... 20 days too late. Even the specs they claim are so over the top it's a joke. Who would even want that thing?

I also thought it looked fake. The stock photos and the poor interior photos made me think that.

But if you look at supercar progress in that statistic over the past 10 year, the Ferrari Enzo was groundbreaking at 3.3 seconds, anything over the next few years that was less than that was remarkable. The Veyron is really out of this world at 2.5 seconds. To hit 60 MPH in 1.7 seconds works out to an average of 1.66 G's acceleration. In cornering, with all 4 tires working together, the highest performing cars can only hit this value with downforce on top of mechanical grip. Straight line acceleration, with only 2 tires working... The Atom couldn't accelerate much faster, no matter how much power it had. It's simply limited by traction, more power = more tire smoke.

Nice design but I think I'll be flying an X-Wing fighter before the Dagger
ever gets built.

Re: The Ultimate Supercar

The speech used seems fake and idiotic. They quote a comedian like he is a real driver and have comedic and sarcastic quips in their writing. I don't know if I should laugh or be amazed by how sarcastic they are.

At any rate, they are clearly after money. I hope it's not a trick.

STI's are currently being modified to reach 60mph in 2 seconds and you can all get one! They are claiming 1000 hp... AWD of course.
