Re: what can be improved on the svx?

I was going to say switch the car over to fahrenheit. It is not too difficult but I can't remember how to do it...that information is around here somewhere though.

It's an easy fuse thing, but hey: we're metric up here.

Re: what can be improved on the svx?

I knew it was easy, ha. Fair enough. We supposedly switched to metric the eighties (i think) but if it werent for half of domestic vehicles fasteners being metric, and the other half being SAE you would never know.

Re: what can be improved on the svx?

My brother was going to do this with his Z32 for his capstone but decided against it...

Basically it was a concept for a performance boost for turbo/supercharged cars. Use an A/C evaporator coil in conjunction with a charge air cooler (intercooler) to create a dense charge for short bursts of WOT. The design and application is actually very simple. I had thoughts of dropping one into the intake manifold for my old silver car but quickly realized I had removed the A/C in lieu of an alternator that wouldn't rip my oil pump off numerous times. granted you would need to use a car with some sort of forced induction that had tuning capabilities to utylize this new found air density but it could be done to an N/A car for a project like this....

If I want the minimalist, bare bones experience I have a motorcycle. I didn't buy the SVX to get driven mad by road noise during my drive to school/work.

Doesn't your car do that? The JDM ones do. Not sure about the UK models.

Nope. Can only adjust in full degree increments. I wonder if it's an easy thing to change.

What? Please type louder, I still can't hear from Hocrest cranking the engine while I fixed an exhaust leak in OTs custom mad 6 into 1 header setup on the racer.

Re: what can be improved on the svx?

I just read an interesting article on a new type of suspension: HiPer Strut suspension.

A quote from the article:

"HiPer strut design takes features from both (McPherson strut & Short arm/Long arm design, sometimes called SLA or Double Wishbone). It has a lower cost and weight, good handling partially because of its adjustability, good ride and it will fit right in where a McPherson strut design previously was used, meaning the car structural design doesn’t have to be redone."

http://thechronicleherald.ca/Wheels/1237151.html

That would be an improvement.

Re: what can be improved on the svx?

Hey, any increase in parts that can be used from more common cars would be fantastic, too.

Id like, love to be able to adjust my A/C by a half degree Celsius, like newer cars.

Memory for power seat, mirror and steering wheel settings would be nice.

Power passenger seat would be nice.

Extendable sun visors to block sun from the side.
I like all your ideas.

On the subject of the half degree adjustments of temperature...the Australian SVX does that, as does the JDM.

There's not much about these cars that leaves me wanting. I just hate that they're so old.

Remote trunk release...My SVX has that. Wow, it seems the US models really missed out on a LOT!
