Re: Bad Accident

It's a smart decision. Besides the $6500, I'd be less confident about the integrity/safety of a repaired SVX -however expertly it would be done, and you've learned, and taught the rest of us, the value of the original well-engineered, integrated body. The other reality, is that the accident would place a ceiling on the market value of your investment -not that such a rational calculation drives many of us SVX drivers and owners.

BTW, this is at least the second forum report of surviving a bad SVX accident in the past month or two, although I believe a passenger may have been hurt in the prior one. (Hope she's doing better)

Congratulations on surviving your accident and the best safe-driving to you going forward.

Re: Bad Accident

LetItSnow just told me about this! Glad you are okay Kevin!!! Sad to see another one bite the dust. I've nearly dozed off a few times when I was still driving mine. It was a help having no muffler cause my foot would start to lean into the gas and snap me back awake.
Again glad to hear you are safe.

It's glad that no one was hurt.

I have a 96L polo part car. I bought it to fix up my 92 LSL that someone smashed my whole side at the parking lot.

It has been more than two months that the guy who's going to work on my cars hasn't really started anything. Guess I have been too easy/nice on him. Need to talk to him again.

The whole driver side(fender, door, rear quarter are mine), but if you need anything else to help to fix up your 96 red, let me know after "a while".(not sure how long, hopefully I can start driving my 92 before Christmas this year) I ain't going to part or sell any parts until my 92 LSL has been totally fixed.

Good luck on your fix! Glad you're not giving it up!

hey! this car was at the sube shop! i know because i bought a sun visor out of it it looked sad. :[
