Re: new Speedo cluster idea

Keith and Trevor

You fellows are crossing swords too often.

I could let you at it while I go off and look for the hammer, come back and play the heavy, but hopefully a friendly word of warning will do the trick.

Really guys, you are just cluttering up the man's thread, and for no good reason. Please desist.

Joe

When Keith, or anyone else, needlessly pokes a nasty sarcastic comment at another member, I retain the right to comment. e.g. --- “good taste would be maybe coming up with a good idea to sell, not just trying to sell anything a person can think of... maybe something that deserves merit? “

If you are bent on using your hammer, get on with it and ban me. I do not intend to desist making accurate and correct statements in support of others.

Re: new Speedo cluster idea

Any chance of an aftermarket gauge cluster that does not have such a new look? Something a little more fitting for the stock interior...although different color schemes?

If that was the case I would be interested, but these ones are simply not my style.

EDIT: Ones that had Speedo, Tach, Oil Pressure, Coolant Temp, and a Tranny temp gauge's would be sooooo awesome...

I like the look of the first two. What colors and lighting were you thinking about doing?

Re: new Speedo cluster idea

some of those gauges would be nice, but .......

do you really want red or blue illumination to go with the green and amber lights on the stock climate controls and other buttons?

it would look like Rainbow Brite puked all over your interior.

i remember the 2004 STi with red instrument cluster lighting and green lighting for the everything else.

We can also put the SVX logo on them too if we want.
I too looked at these to literally, I was like naw that might look wrong, but if what you say is true it might look fairly good.

again, theres more negative comments then positive..
honestly, it seems more like less people have the extra
income to actually do it, then everyone would be for it
but thats not the case.
Ive seen these in person on a variety of cars at SEMA
and the look is amazing.

bump for a good idea that could use some support. I still am for a Legacy style with either alcyone horns or svx logo

I actually am getting a bit tired of the stock cluster. It looks so very plain.
Maybe this is turning into my new catchphrase but I really feel it should be jazzed up a bit.

Re: new Speedo cluster idea

its a few hundred bucks, depending on how many
we do first time..
include New faces, with factory style fonts
but we have say so over illumination color etc...
and color of faceplate background color of course too
unless we go with like the aluminum finish...

Re: new Speedo cluster idea

I like the last one in your first post..... and after reading this thread, finally realize how retarded keith and trevor were, lol

But really, I want that cluster, with 160mph reading of course, or better yet, is 200mph doable?!?! Or "lightspeed" right at 160 :P "yes, it is a spaceship, see!"
