Question What would you offer?

There is a '94 Laguna Blue Pearl L for sale here in town. I test drove it briefly yesterday and will take it out on the highway for another drive tomorrow. The carfax report is clean, it has 147K miles, but is just FWD and is quite obviously the base model. Someone had an aftermarket sun roof installed. The dealership just got it as a trade-in and they are asking $6450 for it, which I think is a bit high. They think the car is AWD and I will have to educate them tomorrow.

What does everyone think?

that is not too bad......

i bet you can get him to come down a bit. especially when you explain that it is FWD.

my SVX is FWD and i love it. no AWD binding and all that other BS.

94 Blue L

If I'm not mistaken isn't that what Huck has that he's trying to get rid of? For some reason I though he only wanted about $4 grand for it but can't quite remember. If his wasn't FWD it be mine come March when mine is completely lien free!

Huck sold his blue one to someone at the meet that works for SIA, if I am not mistaken.

2nd SVX

I've currently got my eye on a pretty little Green 95 LSI that'll be running through Manhole this friday. We'll see what she brings. Not sure on miles yet. It did come from NY Hoo hum. Well at least it isn't NJ.

No, it doesn't. In fact, it's a true sunroof with a slide back hard cover inside and a power retractable glass roof. Looks like it was installed very professionally.

I actually was IMd by someone locally who found my name here and wanted to know about the SVX because he was interested in this car. So I told him that I'd check it out for him. He told me today that he doesn't want it, but I'm still gonna highway test drive it tomorrow.
Chris has made it perfectly clear that he doesn't want a FWD vehicle, so we're not gonna get this car. But it's fun to drive another one. I hope Penny doesn't get too jealous when I leave her behind on the lot tomorrow!

SVX L....

Hi Michelle and Chris! Is Chris the one looking for a SVX?? This one at the dealer doesn't sound like such a great buy.
I really like the AWD, and don't think I would consider the FWD only, besides its an L model, no leather etc etc.

If Chris is really serious, he should look into Lwins 92 Pearlie. I talked to him about it at the meet, and I believe its in pretty good condition. He has some pics posted and it looks pretty good, and besides the price is right!! (3500)
