Draining the heater core

Hey everyone, since my heater core blew then bypassed and all cleaned up now, everyday I get a little puddle coming back and I just clean it.

Was wondering if there's a way of draining it? and whether you do that within the car or on the firewall? (keep in mind that I haven't taken the dash off to fix and don't plan on taken the dash off.

It had to blow just before winter hits

Thanks, Jordan.

Re: Draining the heater core

If you bypassed it eventually it will stop as the coolant will drain completely.... you can hurry this along by opening both of the ports in the firewall and blowing compressed air into the inlet. That should help clear out the rest of the coolant.
