Re: WOW 36K mile 94 Laguna Blue Lsi on Ebay

DAMN...

That is the one I want! 94-95 is about the right year range... 94 probably still has the auto seat belts, though, rather than the fixed belts and passenger airbag, but not a 96/97 that is harder to fit a manual transmission into, with OBD-II

It is an LSi, so it probably has the sunroof and leather.

Laguna blue is my favorite SVX color, although I wish it had the black tri-coat roof and trunk.

36,000 miles! That is barely more than half what my Legacy GT has.

And it is probably within a one-day drive to go get.

Only problem... I don't have the cash for another car right now. ARGH!!!

I wonder how much it would cost to have the roof, quarter window trim, trunk lid, and spoiler properly painted with black tri-coat, and then the car converted to manual transmission correctly. I would almost hesitate to do that, and due to the pristine apparent condition, I would be sure it was done correctly.

For clarification.

This car is an LSi, so manual belts and it does have a passenger airbag and All Wheel Drive.

The "H" in the VIN designates it as All Wheel Drive.

Yeah, you beat me to the point, Mike.

Also just to note to you Boxerfanatic, the laguna blues never came with black tops so that will have to be custom.

Re: WOW 36K mile 94 Laguna Blue Lsi on Ebay

Good info, thanks Nate and Mike.

I prefer the manual belts and passenger airbag, so that is good. I prefer grey interior, which it sounds like all Lagunas come with, so that is another good. I was under the impression that the 95 model year was the first year for the manual belts and pass. airbag, but I will defer to the obviously more knowledgeable folks here.

LSi probably also has the faux-wood dash, but maybe someone would trade for the L-model grey dash pieces, if that is the case, but that is hardly an issue, and certainly far from any sort of a deal breaker.

My brother-in-law is a good auto body tech, and painter, by profession. He would very likely be able to get very good, like-new or better results from a roof and trunk paint job. I LOVE the canopy look of the black top cars, and I also love the blue color, Laguna or WorldRally blue pearl.

I also really like RedLightningSVX's barcelona red/black car, that is very slick, and those didn't come with black roofs stock, either, IIRC.

If I could just find some cash.... I just went to their direct website, and they are asking 10 grand for the car.

Interesting that it says turbo engine.... I am doubting a until-now garage queen has a turbo installed.

NADA for clean retail, with 36,000 Miles is $4725.
KBB for Excellent condition retail with 36k, and all options is $7015.

The switch to manual seatbelts/dual airbag is mid year 94. Earl was trying to figure out exactly the model number it switched and I believe he has it narrowed down but would need the info from the exact 2 in question to be 100% sure.

Here's Earls thread reguarding the change. It could be model #1400 from 94 for the change-over

The dealer's website is asking $10 shy of $10,000. I imagine the reserve is probably quite high.

Many people have made the mistake of saying it is turbocharged in ads due to the fact that so many of the cars competing in this class offered turbos.

I think that this car is, indeed, worth about $10,000. That would be what I would ask for it.

Re: WOW 36K mile 94 Laguna Blue Lsi on Ebay

This one does have the manual belts. It is clear in first picture of the interior. I think I need to go buy some scratch offs!!! That's the only way I'd be able to afford this one. And +1 on the black canopy. When I first got my SVX I had aspirations of World Rally blue with a black canopy, but it'll probably just get a respray of the original Liquid Silver due to the cost of all the extra work to match jambs and engine bay. I know somebody on here was custom painting there car WR Blue and black canopy, they had pictures of it masked off with the colors down, but they were taken inside and not the best angles. I sure would like to see the finished product.

Yeah, I'd agree. Book values can never take into account low low mileage of cars, especially some that are more rare.
