Re: Cars and Crabs by the Bay? (MD, late Sept)
Well, right now where I am (Thursday) it's 70% chance of rain on Sat (most likely before 2 pm) and 30% on Sunday.
Update: as of 11:00am Sat, for Sunday the Weather Channel says there will be rain here early, and possibly scattered thunderstorms developing later in the day, with a 40% chance of rain overall. LarryIII & Co, I hope you can let me know today (Sat) if you are still interested for Sunday. Same for anyone considering, like Ron. I'd enjoy getting together, but am fine with making it some other time, this year or next. I can always be a good girl and go to church if we need to cancel. Sigh.... P.S. local crabbing ends late in October this year, but crabs & crab dishes are still freshly available thru December, usually, thanks to other Southern states. Nan

Just for the record. The SVX needed some exercise. I was there at noon. Ghost town. I took a tour of Kent Island. Maybe see'ya next time, folks.
Ron.

Re: Cars and Crabs by the Bay? (MD, late Sept)
Ron, I am SO sorry you were greeted by a ghost town. I wasn't sure you were still interested, which is one reason I did my posting on the 25th. I wanted to avoid any misconnection, as I had earlier said I would be at Hemingways, but then that didn't make sense if there wasn't anyone coming! I do feel bad you cruised down, and would have liked to see you, and ask you about that 8,000 mile trip.
Maybe we can try again, when Larry and Rosie come up for air. And if I ever get up to Ellicott City, I will definitely give you a shout. Nan

Nan[/QUOTE] Hey, Nan - no hard feelings. I wasn't certain if I was able to make it 'til Sunday morning, so I didn't want to "positively" commit earlier. But, then the sun came out, & I figgered, "What the heck, it's only 50 miles away, & gas is a dime cheaper on Kent Island, etc. etc.". At least the Beast got its monthly aerobics! We'll plan something for later. How about the Great Oh-eight Depression Meet, at a soup kitchen in downtown Baltimore? Oy! Ron.

Re: Cars and Crabs by the Bay? (MD, late Sept)
Nan, Ron,
Sorry that we had to cancel. And Ron, sorry to ruin your day. I know a soup kitchen in the Bowery where we can have an SVX meet. a)I used to have a 401K. Now it's just an 001K. b)I found out what the "K" stands for in my 401K. I means "kaput." c)My broker called me yesterday. He said, "I'm no longer a broker. I'm just broke." d)The value of Rosie's shoe house next door has fallen to less than the mortgage that I'm paying for it. e)I can't wait until Earl puts the neon SVX sign up on e-bay to make ends meet. I wonder if he'll take Rosie's diamond encrusted platinum Star Trek communicator pin from Tiffanys for it?
