Is my SVX really a 94?

So I just looked at the tag inside the door on my 94. It states the the car was manufactured in 11/94, wouldn't this make it a 95 then? Every other car I have had was manufactured in the previous year then whats it listed at. I though this was always the case but I don't know now. I haven't had that many cars like most of you so is this normal?

Thanks

I have been told, but have not had the chance to confirm that there were less than 100 Pearl 94s. Most were Barcelona Red, Ebony, or Laguna Blue (respectfully).

The bordeaux {Medium Wine} was '94, '95 and '96, but was not produced for any of the "L" models.

The SVX is an import. The market in Japan isn't a year behind like it is in America.

Another example is the Impreza which body style changed(crap I forgot 95-96?) anyways. In America our 95 models had the old body style and changed for the 96 model, where as the 95 models in Japan were the new style.

What is your VIN#?
The tenth digit is what designated the year.
N=1992
P=1993
R=1994
S=1995
T=1996
V=1997

Re: Is my SVX really a 94?

I can't remember which year it was, but one year Subaru didn't offer an updated model in Canada. They just continued to sell last years car at the same price. I remember because I was thinking about trading mine on a new one.
