Odometer not working

So My odometer hasn't been working for the last 5 months. The speedometer and trip counter work perfectly, but the odometer is stuck at 115,406 miles. I have put about another 2000 on it since then. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I hope I don't have to buy another dash assy.
Thanks. Paul

If the speedo is working and the odometer is not working then I would say the problem lies inside the gauge unit.

as I have put glow gauges on mine I can say with realitive certinaty that there is no cable to control the speedo it is electronic now as for a gear inside the gauge unit the porshe has a large problem with doing this very same issue ie snapping the teeth off
