Exhaust heat shields

What are the side affects of removing the exhaust heat shields that surround the exhaust system? Would the interior cabin temperature increase? Would there be any issues with extra heat transfering to the underside of the car? For those who did either the Stebro exhaust system of any other setups, did you end up putting those heat shields back onto your new exhaust?

My front pipes dont have their heat shields....Makes it super easy to remove the front exhaust. I really havent noted any increase in cabin temperature.

'salright, even if I DID park my car on my lawn, I tend to mow my grass sometimes.

But yes, a valid point, removal of heat shielding could lead to leaf fires, extra scent of burning power steering fluid, oil, ect. Or in Tom's case, having a perfectly good screwdriver plastic welded to his header
