Unhappy no movement - forward or reverse - help!

Background: My front differential case failed. A part of the housing cracked off and got between the gears, chewing up the ring & pinion.

Since I had no core to work on, difficulty in finding gears, etc., nobody around here wanted to touch it. So I bought a used unit from an out-of-state wrecking yard.

Installed the unit, but get no movement from drive or reverse.

Have tried putting in the FWD fuse, no difference.

Any ideas beside having it towed to a tranny shop (I can swap things out, but no experience in automatics rebuild)?

tia, lee

Very sad to here of your problem. From what I understand it is very hard to find a tranny in the junk yard. BUT BUT BUT 5spd Huck says the legacy front and rear dif's fit right in the SVX housings. You want a faster SVX? Don't care about gas milage?

I do not know about the case, if it is the same?

Was your RWD working?

yes, the RWD was working.

Found a transaxle, working over some hints supplied by Stevebsy on proper installation.
