been there done that! i am just kidding guys.

see tom now you now what i am talking about i wish it would have worked but it wont. and just think we are on the front and the rear is next, who knows what is going to happen in the rear.

i think we have a better chance with the wrx 4pot 2pot on with brembo rotors and 17inch rims will clear becuse the stock svx rims all most worked when we tried it.

i just got to machine the inner 4pots to make them work.

about the rears i have no comment on doing it but thinking about the fronts left me with out any hope so something in the rear going to be another head game.

I am going to go over to the shop tonight and take pictures so anyone confused, hopefully they will clarify. I also want to contact Wilwood and ask them about making brackets for the STi front brake kit so it will fit our cars. they may be interested to have the only US BBK for the SVX

if they can make brackets to fit under 17s and custom rotors that are offset I think alot more svx guys would purchase them instead of having to upgrade to 18s.

More bad news though. we cannot use the brembo caliper at all. The caliper was originally design for a smaller rotor I believe than a stock Sti rotor. If you increase diamter of the rotor to fit the brembos on the SVX hub, you will be hitting the sides of the caliper. SO... I really need to get in touch with Wilwood. Jman, let me know how we want to go about getting this stuff back to you so you can resell them

There are kits here in Aus to mount bremos on to a GC8 wrx (originally 4 pots). There is also a kit to allow sti rotors to be used with 4pots!

I assume we get differnt sized sti rotors out here?

tom did you check the Aussie DBA catalouge?? might have some differences

When i reaserchd a 4 pot upgrade here, i was going to bolt up 4 pots and get a DBA wrx disk re-drilled with 114.3 stud pattern.

I have chosen to try and source some disks in the US, because of my finacial situation ( it will cost me twice as much here in Aus for disks as getting disks imported from the US)

Cheers,
Jake

I sent Wilwood an email asking if they can make the different brackets. If not, I may be able to order the kit and have my own brackets made. these "should" fit under 17" wheels... more when I know

ok, I measured the distance from the top of the pad to the top of the rotor. This is the VERY close to the distance from the top of the rotor to the underside of the caliper on each end. So, if you get a bigger rotor, you will be either hitting the caliper or not have the pad all the way on the rotor

Well I got in contact w/ Wilwood. they said there is probobly not enough interest to make a full blown kit but they suggest I order the WRX Sti kit and modify/fabricated new brackets to make it work. I asked them how many orders it would take to get this off the ground... Anyone interested? They would fit under 17" wheels with the proper offset

are you saying that willwood would make brackets if you order the sti kit or are they saying we the consumer should make the brackets?
