yeah, reds are prone to multicolour all right.

If you are not actually experiencing the Power mode, then it is still possible as Harvey says that there is a problem, regardless of whether the light should come on or not.

I figure your best way of determining if you have it working or not is to go to a safe place, and give it a "quarter mile" type launch. Foot buried in carpet. Permanently. Have a friend as passenger note rev limit for gear changes.

It should be in Power mode all the way in these conditions, and change-up should be happening at over 6000 rpm, 6250 about.

If you do have a problem, then the other advice you got is spot on. Check out the TPS. Check out the loom connections to the TCU and ECU. You may have one speed sensor working, but not both. If all these check out OK, next port of call is a faulty TCU.

Nothing else you have reported indicates an intermediate resistance or contact problem, therefore you can rule out the TPS as being suspect.
