Cool I had some FUN on the highway today

I was cruising my car today on the highway, when I hear an explosion behind me... mirrors, sunvisor, mirror, hehe... it was the exhaust of a red Ferrari .

Time for some fun after more than 2 months of hibernation , this is my chance, so 2nd gears on, 3/4 gas pedal (without kickdown) and we started enjoying the highway a little bit without going to extreme...

We were not racing, just teasing each other, because I knew if I raced and tell you about it, my thread would be locked . Then there was some traffic ahead, I had the chance to grab my camera and got a shot of his interesting Ferrari, nice car, but I would prefer any SVX over that .............. yeah right

Ferrari

That is awesome. I've never seen one of those in real life. Must have been a blast.

Definately a F430... looks kind of like a 360 but those tail lights and rear diffuser are a dead give-away. I haven't seen a 430 yet, but from all the reviews I have seen, they are one of the best Ferraris to date. Very cool you were able to drive around by one.

haha, that reminds me once of when I saw what I thought to be a Lamborghini - cavalier conversion on the highway and revved at it for good fun, well, the old man laughed and revved back - it was real......

and no, we didn't race, that would be the dumbest move of my life

Yup... in my short automobile dealing days I had the good fortune to take a 360 another dealer drove to an auction up to an unnamed speed under 3 digits in a closed lot. I love the 360, but any new one makes my heart skip a beat to look at. I'd love to cruise next to that thing, the sound is such a beautiful thing too! The last Ferrari that I saw was at a dunkin donuts next town over, I just saw again on the news the other night. It ended up in some kid's stock of stolen cars... which included 2 STi At least he had good taste.

Are there any lanes on that road? Looks like a big cluster**** to me.. Oh and that's an F430, what Ferrari uses in their $8000 driver's training classes.

YES, the sound of a Ferrari V-12 is something to hear, especially at speed (song!). One of the best I heard was a 1965 open seater (with a racing history) at Summit Point Raceway. He was hitting about 130 MPH on the 1/2 mile straight, before "gearing down" to make the 50 MPH (max) hairpin Turn 1. SO SWEET!!!!!

BTW, the car was valued at about $1.5M, but the fellow didn't hold a lot back.

I'd rather have a new Ford GT for $1.4 million less.
