EBC Brake Pads?

Has anyone used the EBC Green Stuff pad on their SVX. I've heard nothing but good things about these pads from people with other cars. Anyone ever use them on their car?

I have them on my SVX and they have been great, no noise or dust. I bought them at Tirerack.com

i've heard quite the opposite - lots of horror stories about them chewing up rotors and crumbling apart (much to my surprise, on LegacyGT.com).

i think they have been re-formulated, however, but there are a lot of bitter people who will NEVER buy EBC products again.

i am planning on getting the Redstuff Ceramics, however.

Anything can be better than the noisy and dusty POSes on the front of my SVX. Slotted and drilled rotors and "ceramic" pads.

gest24,

I also run the EBC Green Stuff (as SVX-RIDE mentioned above) - I really like them, except for the brake dust. I gets lots. Then again, I autocross the car, so the brakes are worked HARD. Never a problem with fade, and I trail-brake a great deal when autocrossing. I have never heard of anyone having a problem with EBC's.

EBCs it is then. Now I have to see if Pepboys has the green stuff pads in stock and have the friendly resident ASE mechanic help me swap them out at our on base Auto DIY Shop.

Sounds like you are military??

Thanks for all you and others in the military do for all of us!!

Good luck with the pads - they are not difficult to change out at all - front or rear.
Merry Christmas!
Harry

you may want to check out the Redstuff Ceramics (if they have an SVX fitment).

supposedly a good street/light track pad with good bite and VERY low dust. i just want low dust, because the stock LGT pads are HORRIBLY DUSTY!!!! some extra bite will be a bonus.

I thought about the RedStuffs. If Pepboys has them thats what I'll get but I'm not going to pay S&H on something I can get right down the street.

Re: EBC Brake Pads?

Is anyone having luck finding any green pads? Ebay has the rear only. I would rather get both from one vendor. having trouble finding vendors
