Twin Cities Ice Meet

Is anyone up for a winter meet on the ice? I know that St. Paul is having there winter carnival in January, maybe a meet then.
What about a meet on a frozen lake? That would make a cool picture too.

Any other ideas I'm up for.

With all the new people that have showed up recently in MN I think we could get perhaps 10 SVX's to show up.

I know for a fact I could get another from Eden Prairie, he just got it about 2-3months ago I believe and his son said he loves it... we should start PMing people now for it, try and get as many as possible.

I am not the ice expert, so I will leave that up to the local Minnesotians. I have only been here 1.5 years.

I have a great idea for the meet. ICE RACING at the winter carnival in St. Paul. It is on a Saturday and Sunday.

The Holidays will be over so there should be no excuses. The event schedule is not posted yet so we will have to wait and see were it will be.

It's too bad that everyone in MN started popping up right after I moved from there.

If you guys are planning on having any meets down the road a ways, I could probably show up for one here or there. I'll be driving back to MN to stay there for Mar-May most likely.

Would be nice to meet a few of ya.

I think we might be able to do something.

How was your ride with the hurricane? My boss has a place in Naples and he was very lucky. He only lost a few pieces of siding.

We fared pretty well. No power and water for 10 days, so it was much like camping inside my house. No serious damage, but I spent almost 2 weeks after work with a chainsaw chopping up trees to help clear the streets. Life is back to normal now though. Now I need to get back to MN and check on my property up there.

The ice races are going top be on Lake Phalen http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?ed...+mn&country=us The time and were we will meet before going to the lake are yet to be determined.
Any ideas are helpful.

The Ice Race has been moved to Grarrison, MN, on Mille Lacs Lake. It is ablout a 2 hour drive from the Twin Cities area.

This really sucks. I can not be gone that long with my daughters first birthday coming up.

Does anyone else have an idea for a luke warm winter meet?
