Timing Belt

Several things could cause it to just die while running and not restart. The most common is timing belt failure. Was it running fine before it died? You can take off one of the timing belt covers and see if the belt is broken. That would eliminate that possibility.

That possibility has been eliminated. was one of the first things I did. The timing belt is only 3 days old so it shouldnt break. The car acts like its flooded but no matter what will not start.

Have you try ed starting the car with the gas petal to the floor. When the temp sensor was bad on my car the only way to start it was with the gas petal to the floor. Petal to the floor start Is the way to clear a flooded situation.

Ok the belt isn't broken, but did you check the timing marks while you were at it? There could've been a problem with the tensioner and the belt slipped a little.

Agree

Since you say it was only changed 3 days ago--that increases the liklihood of it being the belt as Kuoh states. It probably jumped time enough that it will not start. I still think this is the best place to start looking.

bump Well I took off the left and right timing belt covers and wow you guys hit it on the dot timing is off by a lot. I went over the instructions on my manual and saw what I forgot to do. The belt tensioner has elongated holes and once everything is lined up you are supposed to move the tensioner fully left. I forgot to do that so it jumped a few teeth now dont I feel like an idiot.
