OBII code PO330

The Check Engine light lit up on my 97SVX. I took it to AutoZone and they read a fault code PO330 and the techncian told me it was the Knock Sensor Circuit #2 Malfunction. However, when I checked the codes in the How To folder, #33 says it is a "no signal from vehicle speed sensor" problem. What's up with that difference in diagnoses?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

The folder has codes that apply to non-OBDII cars (which most SVX's are). Your car has OBDII and uses a different set of codes.

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that knock sensors should be replaced in pairs.

That sounds like the passenger side sensor (the easy one).

Subaruparts has them for 49.10 each

Sounds like they quoted you on two knock sensors, instead of the #2 knock sensor.

No Subaru knock sensor is $140.
