I'd say thats a pretty good estimate.

#4 Also if running stock pistons, did they get custom copper head gaskets and o-ring convert the heads?

Just a mild pysics fact. The SVX engine produces its HP via high compression. Gun powder just burns fast at normal atmosphere, but produces a bang when compressesd like a fire cracker). Thusly the combustion chamber pressures are already midly high. A forced induction motor produces its power similary by getting a higher amount of volume in the chamber before the compression stroke, thusly also increasing maximum combustion chamber pressure at time of ignition. If they are doing BOTH, without proper mods, what is gonig to prevent the head gaskets from pushing out, head bolts from stretching, and such?

Just my curiosities.
Yes, I'm a bit curious myself as to what has been done to the engine, to run the boost.

Harvey.

Yeah dude, i think it looks gnarly. That thing is gonna be sick and it will be powered by possibly one of the smartest and well built suby engines ever. Plus i just like the way they set it up.

Yeah the setup looks great, but I was talking about the actual car.

You're saying you'd take a car that looked like this:

don't think about the engine, just the car.

Nevermind I guess they went back to the original layout.

I agree. The intercooler plumbing is just plain stupid - which is surprising because the rest of the project seems fairly well thought out. I can think of at least two other routes for the outlet ducts that wouldn't require butchering the hood. A third option would be to trim about four inches off the top of that radiator. It must have, like, twelve cores. ...and is that rust on the frame?

I think they were looking to reduce the overall amount of piping and heat exchange to the combustion air.
I think they succeeded.
I also think sacrificing style for power or functionality is worthwhile.

They could easily design a slightly raised and vented hood cowl that would look great and be functional.

It is custom. I personally like the look of the raised hood. It makes it look like is has a bit more muscle to the car. That setup is badass and it will work much better than any other way in keeping piping to a minimum. Don't trash talk the car because the had to raise the hood. When and if molded properly it will look excellent.

Tom(Thinking of doing that to my hood just to piss people off)

I'll reserve my judgment on the looks of the car until it's completed.
