Now thats odd...
I just noticed the other day that when I'm rolling along (say, 30MPH) and roll on the gas, the tach dips ever so slightly before rising like normal. Its a very slight dip that dosen't really effect acceleration. I was just thinking this might be the result of a dirty/broken TPS (I have been having slight flare under light acceleration as well) . Any thoughts? Thanks.

I believe that dip is caused by the ECU. At that speed your RPMs are low enough that the ECU needs to add gas to keep the engine from stalling. Once you press the gas it switches into engine braking mode and not giving any more gas causing the slight drop in RPM.
This could probably be adjusted by ever so slightly adjusting the TPS (mark it before you move it so you can always move it back).
