if they could see us now

car and driver review of the svx:

"Some components of this car had real appeal, but Subaru seemed to find a way to devalue most of them. The concept of all-wheel drive is worthy, though the unexceptional traction I experienced with one in snow made me question the wisdom of fitting this one with wide summer tires. The flat six was smooth and strong, but was saddled with a nonsporting automatic transmission. The cabin layout was good, and its use of suede and leather upholstery was quite sophisticated, but those silly half-windows.... And despite styling by maestro Giorgetto Giugiaro, the SVX still managed to convey that nerdy Subaru look. It's an interesting car and a worthwhile buy at a bargain price.Just don't expect its circle of admirers to be large ."

As far as I'm concerned, I consider myself Subie-whipped. And as far as Earl is concerned, he is Subie-whipped x 7, not like that is a bad thing.

I'm a subaru junkie. I've had 4 subarus, all different models. a 1990 loyale, a 2002 impreza, a 1993 turbo legacy, now this one. I enjoyed each one of them very much.

and yeah, I get more comments about this car than any other on I've ever owned. I was at a drive-through yesterday getting dunkin's coffee, and this cutie in the window couldn't keep her eyes off the car. she didn't make eye contact with me even once. just kept panning back and forth across the car as she was taking my money and giving me my coffee. she had this slight smile on her face. this sort of reaction seems typical

Yeah, that reaction is real common. It's almost like people don't know what they're looking at...but know it's sporty and beautiful!

every day people ask what is it? do they still make them? Want to race? It's also funny how couples at gas stations try to figure out what kind of car it is..... there are only three in charlotte nc. Love my car will never give it up............probably have it buried with me...next to my wife of course.
