Rear bearings, friction modifier

Quiet here recently, is not it?

I am preparing for doing my rear berings, bad is only the left one but I will do both. Question is, weather to use special grease or not?
There is strong discussion on Yahoo so I have asked my mechanic and he told me that Subaru is shipping bearings with special grease included so no need to clean them and grease. Does anybody of you did it recently?
Next question is, does anybody of you use friction modifier in his tranny? A lot of US memebers recomend it...

If you buy the bearings from SUBARU, they will have either cosmoline or a very light grease on them. Thoroughly wash it off and repack the bearings with a good grade of heavy duty lithium based grease.

Local Scooby dealer offers me 2yrs warranty for parts so if there is someting wrong it will come up soon (as for me). Agree?

they will claim you didnt properly install them, if you are doing them yourself i would repack them.
