But you and JSVX are right, I'll try all other options before I commit to Cats, JSVX has also offered to lend me some Cats to pass, but If they are truely bad, I'll put in new ones. Most likely some rebuild Cali ones that JSVX says are available at a much more reasonable price than $1600CAN.

Another clarification, I have revisitted the actual fuel economy I thought I was getting, and its actually no better at all, my new O2 sensors appeared to be improving both performance and fuel economy, but in fact the performance is a little better, but the economy may be a little worse. My tests were under differentr conditions. Auto vs Econ. We have had a rather dry spell resently, so I have been using Econ instead of Auto.

Hey dere. Did you ever locate those rebuilt Cali cats you mention in your message? I think I need some too, because mine recently failed Aircare in the same 2 categories as yours. Thanks.

Hey there rrhenderson, no, I never did replace the cats, I was able to get the car to pass by making a few modifications.
