"Then you have obviously never run into many SVX owners. I suggest you stop by www.subaru-svx.net, and for a few more sites. The SVX is a touring car. Plain and simple.

- Chicane"

thanks, Rob, for inviting all of the car domain asshats over to this site. much appreciated.

The uy that set up the Maryland Crap Meet race course for us was driving a Focus SVT. He kick all of our butts including the XT6 that was there.

I don't think the Fucus is that bad, I've seen a lot worse.

No, it's not that bad now - since they're done recalling it for safety reasons. Really, I think the Focus was recalled like four or five times in the first year for safety problems. Hubs falling apart, fire concerns, etc.

Anyway, having said that, the Focus is one of the few domestic cars I'd consider.

mike what tuning capability does a svx has besides, intake and exhaust ???

do they sell sheet metal intakes///upgrades cams///cam sprokets//injectors///racing pistons//rods//stanless steel valves//

u have to admit the svx has no aftermarket out there what so ever hence why i said worst tuning car there is out there,

not to mention the ecu is imposible to tune,, no piggy back sysetms out there will work or VPC systems,

thats why the turbo kits dont work for them u cant tune them.

bye the way i like it like that => makes our cars even more unique

So you're saying it's the worst tuner car of any car made EVER? That's what it sounded like you just said.

You know thats funny because 2 weeks ago when I was racing a modded S4 and an older S6, I was keeping right up with them to about 125-130ish, and around the twisties (at about 105mph). But yeah, it sure is slow.

Seriously man, the SVX is not geared for the dragstrip. It's geared for high speed touring. That doesn't make it slow, it makes it something you don't stoplight race in, but on the top end, it is quite formidable.

Solar, cobb will do all of these to your engine. Im not kidding, and they have done a few EG33;s already. Search for my thread about the letter i got from cobb.
P.S. just becuase we are to smart to pay for a cone filter and maf adapter for 120 bux dosnt mean that there is no aftermarket, it just means we as owners arent taken to school on cheap, easlily made parts. That combined with the elegence dosnt make for a lot of "expensive, pointless" parts that apply to alot of NA cars(i had a 2g eclipse remember, FI are a differnt story)
