Trucks with HID
I guess it was only a matter of time. I have noticed more and more trucks around here with HID headlamps. Talk about annoying! I think it's fine on cars, but it's really bad when trucks have time in my opinion.
Here's a volvo i spotted yeterday with them: |

Why? A lot of trucks drive in the middle of the night, and the HIDs step up visibility quite a bit. If you really think about it, theyre the ones that should have them because they're gonna use them a lot more than your average Lexus/BMW/Other luxo car make owner.

Yeah. I guess you're right. I love my HIDs!

I think they just seemed to be angled up too high and are somewhat blinding. That's the point I was trying to make.

I would guess that the left light was out of adjustment, because one would think a person would replace the stock lights on BOTH sides if converting to HID's.
BTW, I have no problem with HID's on cars or trucks, as long as they are properly adjusted. It's when a person thinks HIS vision is more important than oncoming traffic that's when I have a problem with HID's (or any other lighting system). And don't you hate people that use their high intensity driving lights in the the city?! Just dumb in my opinion, and a total disregard for others. I guess they think it just looks sooooo cool. Sorry, I get off my soap box.... Harry

I understand why Trucks have them but I still don't like HIDs on anything really. I know around here, with so many SUV's and Trucks (Because everyone knows, when it snows, those make you invincible ) that even regular headlights can be blinding let alone HIDs. With as low as the SVX is, for me atleast, anything above a sedan tends to hit the rearview mirror and one or both side mirrors. It's like being on stage and having spotlights on you. Oh well. Maybe I'll get a nice tan

it cant be avoided. for now just hit that switch to tilt your rearview and put your left hand over the sideview. its what i do.
also, are our lights more white than standard halogens, or do i just not have stock bulbs?
