Just throwing it out there, but Dayle's product is also a fabulous one and does the job very well. If you have neither the time nor the skills to fab your own, his is for sure the way to go.
Hey Nevin,

When you talk about making your own intake, you are talking about installing/fabbing piping up to the maf flow sensor right? Or are you talking about the piping between the maf sensor and the throttle bodies?

Well, here I am talking about from the filter to the MAF, and putting the filter in the fenderwell. This is my car with the intake I made for it.

Easy to do, good results, etc... You just have to piece it together yourself and have some tools.

However, I am currently making my own MAF-TB piece as well. Since I have a bunch of materials laying around, I'm going to try a slightly different way than Tom's piece. Mine will be 3" all the way to the TB, and will Y and branch off into two 2 1/4" bends directly in front of the throttle body. Not sure what effect this will have, but I'm sure it will at least yield SOME gain. If it doesn't work, I'll just take it off and chalk it up to experience.

If it does work, I could maybe make some more. Who knows. I'm in no big rush.
