Sporadic Remote Range
My alarm remote sometimes doens't seem to want to work. I replaced the batteries a few months ago because the range seemed to gradually reduce. Over the course of the past couple months or so, I've noticed that sometimes the remote works fine (good range), and other times I have to press it like 20 times. I'll walk around the car pressing the button until it finally "beep-beeps" and unlocks. Same for locking, as well. What's the deal?
Thanks, |

Mine's pretty flaky. My wife bought me a brand-new remote, which works WAY better than the original remotes, but occasionally it still doesn't want to work.
Have you tried the chin trick? Stick the remote under yor chin and press the button. No kidding, it doubles my remote's range. I have no idea why - I assume it's using me as a big antenna.

I use the chin trick exclusivly. It makes me look like a dork - especially on dates, but it sure does make the remote work better.
