Noise from exhaust in park

When my car is in park and I rev the engine and then let off the gas I get a kind of pop noise. Is this a bad thing? I have a stebro exhaust and an air intake.

Too vague of a description. Can you get a sound file?

In case you never got an answer...it's fine. Mine does the same thing with the Stebro.

What the after market exhaust has probably done is bugger up the well designed OEM virtual extractor system and it would appear, from what is posted, that you are now getting unburned gas igniting in the exhaust system.

Phil,

You are exactly right, it is a very good idea to check for an air leak close to the manifold.

I also "mostly" fixed an exhaust leak immediately in front of the center cat. It will be completely fixed sometime this winter when the 5spd goes in.
