A sticky situation (Advice needed)
Alright... its a roommate thing. Anyway, I'm basically the only clean male left on this planet (or so it seems). My roommate never takes out the trash, never cleans, and lives like a slob. I'm sick of cleaning the place only to have him just sorta live in it and get it all dirty again. But here's the last straw: I think he's...eh.. having 'alone funtime' in the shower. The freaking thing won't drain because there's STUFF all over the drain. WTF am I supposed to say to him about this? I am sure as hell not going to shower in that shower with his STUFF floating around. Anyone had to deal with a situation like this before, and how can I tactfully take care of this problem?

Come on Rob. You are good at telling people things. Just tell him that you think he is a slob and he needs to keep things clean. Most people WILL LISTEN if told nicely.

I agree with Lwin. I had a similar situation with my roommate. I confronted him on it, and everything has been fine since.

Be specific about what you want to change, "Be cleaner" isn't going to help

- Rob [/B][/QUOTE] Simply explain to your room mate that if his Neon's gonna drip tranny fluid in the shower, your gonna have to tighten his nuts with a deep socket. So there - Dr. Phil.

I cannot beleive we are even having this conversation. I would like to think that home dilemas such as "jiz" can be taken up with, such as Ron mentioned, Dr. Phil or Dear Abby (is she still around). As far as the SVX network is concerned, I would like to think that we share like a family and treat everyone with respect and enjoy our common bond (our car) but really does it have to go that far O/T. Think of this network as a mother and I know that I for one would not feel confortable talking about this subject matter with my mother, though I would discuss my car and it's details.
And on one more note I would like to say that I think that this situation has an all but obvious answer and I think some common sense could gracefully take care of the situation, not the SVX Network! -G |
