I just found one of those things in a drawer in my kitchen. Weird. I have no idea where it came from - maybe fell off the car and got picked up by the wife?

I think they go on the inside of your rear wheels behind the rotors, then clip into a little hole. One would take them out to manually adjust the rear parking brakes, turning that little rotating gear.
The size would be right but they are usually made of rubber, not plastic, to seal out moisture.

No offense, man, but this is how misinformation gets spread. Deadeye already found a diagram showing where the little plugs go, so we can stop guessing now.

Of course, now I'm going to have to check to see if I have them in my car. I doubt it, but I do still have the penlight, so maybe.

I thought that diagram was a guess as to what it might be. The plug depicted in it didn't look like what was in the photo to me. Also, he had two of them. So I was just offerrring an opinion. I'm not trying to spread false information.

I think it's more than a guess.

He has two of them because there are tie-down holes on either side of the car.
