How do I program a Canadian door fob? SOLVED

The owner's manual has info on how to program US market cars with security systems but there's nothing on how to program just a remote door lock fob on a Canadian market car.

I have one that works, so I know the system is ok, but the 2nd fob isn't working. I know the battery is good, so is there a way to make sure it's programmed?

Thanks!

and the answer is...

I found the Subaru Keyless Entry Control Unit (p/n H7110AS011) under the dash. The programming instructions were found here:

I don't think any Canadian market cars came with a stock security system so you may have an after market alarm, or your SVX was imported from the States.

Thanks Dave. It is a Cdn car and doesn't have the security system, just electric doors locks with a remote fob. One fob isn't working so I'm wondering if it can be programmed (or maybe it's just broken).

If it is stock than they both have to be done at the same time .You can't just add one you have to add 2.
