TCU and ECU question.

Any of you that put a phase 2 tranny from a leggy on your svxs can answer this for me. Do I need a signal wire from the Svx ecu to run a 4eat or will the tcu control all that I need. I have been told I cannot get out of 2nd gear without a signal. Thanks!

Re: TCU and ECU question.

What year of tranny are you thinking of?
Up to early '99 is a simple plug and play with the matching rear diff and speed sensor swap.
Newer than that is a real pain in the keester for wiring etc.

99 Legacy Gt. I am just about done with my swap and this came to mind. The car is running, but have not tested it in gear yet. Planning on that in a couple of days.

Re: TCU and ECU question.

Only 1 Phase 2 4EAT has ever gone into an SVX. It was a nightmare of a wiring nightmare.

Can the story on that be told?
Did Tom get it to run properly?
