how to fill tranny fluid
i just got my tranny mounted back into the car and so far quite a bit of fluid had been drained out but i had filled the TC b4 putting it back in.
I was wondering where would i look about filling the tranny all the way up? I was thinking just pumping it through the dipstick |

Re: how to fill tranny fluid
Just take out the dipstick out put a funnel in the hole and pour it in.

Re: how to fill tranny fluid
Don't overfill it or it will overheat the fluid and cook the transmission, and make sure to check it when the fluid is hot, the notches at 'cold' are for reference only. Operating temp should be between 175 and 190, that's the best time to check

Re: how to fill tranny fluid
If you have already filled the TC up, then it is around 8 quarts. Just pour in 6 quarts right away and then check it. If it isn't touching the dip stick, add another quart and check it again. If it is then hitting the stick cold, start it up and warm up the trans to get an accurate warm reading and then add whatever is needed yet.
