Yeah mine are leaking now too. Wondering if it is a do-it-yourself type of project for someone who isn't a mechanic but is good at following directions?

The passenger side is a piece of cake. The drivers side requires quite a bit of patience.

Remove the battery and airbox to give yourself more room to work. Drivers side has extra stuff like the fuse box and fuel things that can't really move.

Driver side is like a puzzle to get the valve cover out of there. There's just not enough room. Passenger side you have plenty of room to work with once you pull the airbox. Coils are no big deal - one bolt on each and they pop right off.

The bolts aren't really the bad part. You can get to all of them, you just can't turn a wrench very far on a few of them so it takes a while. The real pain is when you want to remove the driver side valve cover. It's a real puzzle to twist and turn it the right way to get it past all the hoses and the fender and all the other stuff in there.

So for someone who isn't even quite sure where the valve cover gaskets are, is this a job best left to the professionals?

10mm GearWrench FTW!

If you don't know what the valve covers are, how can you be sure they're leaking?

I'm kidding of course. IIRC, there are 6-8 10mm bolts on each valve cover, on each side of the engine. Those are the vertical "sides" closest to the fenders. Like was said before, the coils have to come off, one bolt each. Also, if you're so inclined, when you have the valve covers off, that's the time to change the spark plugs.
