high pitched squeal
Whenever I accelerate there is a high pitched sound coming from the engine. My friend says it sounds like I have a turbo. Any suggestions on where to look?

loose belts or maybe a slight leak in the plastic air intake?

I think I have this problem too, if it's what I'm thinking of. It's not too noticeable, right? Just very faint and changes the pitch as you accelerate, higher with more RPM's?
I'd have to say it's something with the airbox or hose leading to the intake. I don't think I've heard it since I got my air filter changed, so that might be it. I think I've heard someone else say that it's something with the transmission, but I can't say with certainty.

hope its not the tranny, and i will check to air box when i get some free time... but if it is the tranny i have a tough choice ahead of me. MT or 4.44....
