If I couldn't be bothered to actually worry about ANOTHER amp in my car then I'll probably just get a set of Infinity Kappas or Diamond Audio 6x9's... My components waiting to go in the front (STILL) are A/D/S component speakers... I managed to get lucky and find the old A/D/S's from back in 2003, still brand new in box... Back then A/D/S apparently made a better product than they do now... If anyone wants to check them out, ebay "ADS component"... They should come up

Wow talk about products being better back in the day.
Rockford amps were great. I had some old punch 200's and ran them 2 ohms bridged mono all day no problems.
The ones you get today are junk. Mine overheats and cuts out at 4 ohms!! Of coarse now they are HALF the price they were 10 years ago for the same wattage. You get what you pay for I suppose.

Other brands have gone downhill as well. They are now in the same price range as everybody else. I guess they had to to compete these days.

Kicker
Ecplise
MB Quart

These brands all used to really mean something in the car audio world, but now they are just like all the others, priced like all the others, and of the same quality of the others.

Does Eclipse make a 6x9 speaker?? I LOVE my Eclipse headunit. It was absolutly TOP OF THE LINE back in 2003... I managed to buy it off of my friend for $150 shipped to me, but he paid something like $899 back in the day... I'd love to have Eclipse all around as I like keeping everything one manufacturer. But at the same time, I'm not giving up my A/D/S's

My Polk MOMO 6x9's were a direct fit in the rear deck. No mod's needed. I used to have Altec Lancing spkrs in another car and they were way better than anything I have seen today. If I could go back in time I would buy every set they sold!

Yes they make a 6 x 9. You may be able to get it on ebay for way less than here

Hey thanks for the info, it helped me out a lot. Your directions were perfect
