Interior fuse box is on the drivers side at the floor level. If you are lucky it will still have a plastic cover with a fuse puller inside.

ok, I checked the ingnition system fuse, and a couple of other fuses, but none are popped. I'm gonna have my buddy check through all of his fuses. Any ideas as to why we aren't getting a signal to the starter or the coil packs?

I think you may have the Neutral Safety switch out of adjustment...it's the part the shifter cable hooks to on the side of the transmission..

The easiest way to check the alignment of this switch is to observe the gear indicator on the dash cluster. Does it match up to the shifter when you move it. If not, move the shifter till it lights up the N or P and try to start it. BE CAREFUL, it may actually be in gear at the time.

Thanks for all the help, guys. It was the neutral safety switch. The car is finally running, and my buddy is as happy as can be to finally drive his car again.
