Awd?
How can I tell if my '94 SVX is AWD?

- Look under the back to see if it has a rear differential, if there is one, you have AWD.
- In the fuse panel under the hood, put a fuse in the "FWD" if the FWD light on your dash then comes on, you have AWD.

while driving, hit the gas from a stop. FWD easily break traction, AWD do not.

What's a rear differential lol. I'm a total noob. And when I hit the gas from a stop it seems to take off with no troubles at all. Very good traction like. And as for the fuse stuff I have no idea how to do that. I suppose I'll ask my neighbor to check if I have a rear differential.

The best way to know is if u have leather seats. only the LSi had AWD in 1994. If you have no ABS, you have no AWD, unless you are me or you converted (like me)

Get down under the back of the car, and look at the rear axel. If there's a rear diff there.
Also, that drive-shaft looking thing? that's only on awd's as well.

Great picture Jay
Also you can research your VIN number on your car located on the bottom of the front of the windshield....I believe there is a section on this forum that breaks down the code of what your number means and if it has AWD or not. |

Sweet thanks a lot! I don't have leather seats btw. I'll check for that rear differential thing when I go to work.
